Hace tiempo escribimos un post sobre vestidos de novia vintage y hablamos de las características entre las distintas décadas, desde entonces teníamos muchas ganas de hacer esta entrada con fotografías reales, de bodas reales y con esos vestidos de novia que en muchas ocasiones han servido, y sirven, de inspiración para los vestidos que se hacen actualmente.

La evolución en los vestidos, los ramos, los tocados, los velos, el tipo de fotografía, el color de sus telas... ha sido espectacular ¡os encantará verlo!

Some time ago we wrote a post about vintage wedding dresses and we talked about the characteristics between different decades, we really wanted to do this post with real photographs of royal weddings and these wedding dresses that have often served, and serve as inspiration for dresses that are made today.

Portadas vintage VOGUE / VOGUE retro covers

A través de las portadas de VOGUE se puede hacer un recorrido por la historia del siglo XX, no solo de la moda, sino de los ilustradores, artistas, fotógrafos y de la evolución de la sociedad y el modelo de belleza. Este mes se cumplen 120 años desde que apareció su primera edición y por eso aprovechamos para hacer un repaso por las mejores portadas hasta los años 50, donde podréis ver la influencia que ha tenido la revista en las novias a lo largo de la historia...vestidos, peinados, telas, moda...

En diciembre de 1892 nacía en Estados Unidos la primera edición de la revista VOGUE. Su creador, Arthur Baldwin Turnure, un miembro de la alta sociedad neoyorkina, quería crear una publicación en la que se hablara del estilo de vida y los intereses de su clase social.

In December 1892 was born the first edition of Vogue in United States. His creator, Arthur Baldwin Turnure,  member of the high class neighborhood, wanted to create a publication that spoke of the lifestyle and interests of their class.

DECADA 1900

El segundo nacimiento de Vogue se produjo en 1909 cuando el joven abogado y publicista Condé Mostrose Nast compró la prestigiosa cabecera. La revista siguió manteniendo la esencia y dirigiéndose a las clases más poderosas de la ciudad. La moda era el principal contenido, pero también había entrevistas y secciones de estilo de vida. Con el tiempo la revista fue ganando influencia e importancia hasta convertirse en un referente a nivel mundial.

The second birth of Vogue came in 1909 when the young lawyer and publicist Condé Nast bought the prestigious headline. The magazine continued to maintain the essence and addressing the most powerful classes of the city. Fashion was the main content, but also had interviews and lifestyle sections. Over time the magazine was gaining influence and importance to become a world reference.
